Eye appeal, athletic talent, conformation and smarts. Rose is a gorgeous young mare with a very cute head and excellent conformation and is doing very well under both western and english tack. We have participated in a 3 day event clinic, July,2010, where she proved herself very bold and willing. One clinician stated she would have to re think her opinions of Canadians after meeting Rose, she was quite impressed! After being introduced to jumping this spring and partaking in a small course at the CHARMD show , we have progressed to jumping in the 2'3" and 2'6" divisions at Jumper shows and is showing her ability to excel at this level and higher. We also took part in a Charity Trail Ride for STARS, it had some pretty challenging portions and some rough terrain but she was a trooper and did very well. She is a bold and curious natured horse and is proving to be a very stable competition mount and is a pleasure to ride.

Jewel was my first Canadian and continues to be a major star for me. I have competed in low level eventing on her and we have both had a lot of fun doing it together. She thoroughly enjoys galloping around a course on cross country and will jump whatever I point her at. Jewel and Duc produced a black filly with a star on May 6, 2009. We have named her Winsome aka Winnie and she is thriving, quite a strong resemblance to her dam at this point.
Jewel has been shown since a 3yr. old and has placed well in all of her classes, ranging from Halter, Showmanship, Trail class, Jumping, Barrel racing, Western and English pleasure and 3 Day Eventing. Jewel and I were very proud to be a part of the "Canadian Team" and take part in the Telus Battle of the Breeds at Spruce Meadows in September 2008 & 2010, representing the Canadian breed.

She is a well bred mare, with some older bloodlines. Her offspring tend to be lighter framed, yet with good bone, elegant and have excellent movement. Her 2001 filly Leah, owned by Canadream Farms has won numerous classes and Championships. One of her colts is Kojak, now standing at stud in California at Sheldon Creek Canadians. She has a beautiful head and neck set and is as black as black can get. Shim is being bred in the spring of 2011 to our stallion Duc.
